Comic Book Instructions for Class on Friday, May 31st 2013

Task:  Create a comic book using the plot of your own story chain OR the plot of “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street.”  You can use either Microsoft Word or PowerPoint.  The comic book must include the following:

•   At least 6 pages  *each page must include an illustration and a caption
•  Speech bubbles for your characters when necessary
• At least 6 words from the story chain list
• 3 uses of onomatopoeia
• Scenes that effectively tell the complete story, including a resolution
• Use correct grammar and punctuation

You will turn in your assignment using Edmodo.  There is an assignment created called “Comic Book.”  Name your file lastname_comic book before turning it in as an attachment.

BOOK PROJECT DUE

Attention Language Arts and Advanced Language Arts:  Independent book projects are due tomorrow!  You must turn in the draft as well as the final copy booklet.  Advanced LA Students also need to turn in the full-size movie poster.  Language Arts students can complete the full size poster for up to 5 bonus points.

LA and Advanced LA:  If you did not finish your brainstorming and the draft of your introduction paragraph in class, please make sure you finish it for Monday.  Have a great weekend :)
